Question: "How long is the wait for a new car hauler?"

Answer: It depends on what you're looking for. We have stock units going through our shop frequently on Freightliner CL120's and Peterbilt 379's that can be ready quickly. If you'd like to custom order a headrack and trailer for one of the chassis we have in stock it will usually take between 60 and 100 days. If you would like to custom order a chassis, a custom headrack and trailer it usually takes about 4-6 months. A salesperson will be able to help you secure a spot in our build schedule and determine your completion date.

Question: "How do I start the process of ordering?"

Answer: Contact our sales department at 503-285-3515. A qualified salesperson will assist you in the process of selecting a chassis, headrack, trailer and options to meet your specific needs. We can also assist you in obtaining competitive financing.

Question: "Why should I buy a chassis through Boydstun? Can't I buy one from my local dealer and have it shipped to you?"

Answer: You certainly can purchase a chassis from your local dealer. There are advantages to purchasing a chassis from Boydstun however. First of all, you get the benefit of our volume ordering. We purchase hundreds of chassis every year from the major manufacturers. These large purchases allow us to negotiate the best pricing and insure that we have a constant supply of chassis no matter what the rest of the industry is doing. Secondly, we understand exactly what specs make a good car hauler. We understand the importance of low cabs and suspensions. We work closely with truck manufacturers to improve their offerings to our specialized market.

Question: "How long is my warranty and what does it cover?"

Answer: Your Boydstun Metal Works warranty is a non-transferable one year, one hundred thousand mile warranty that begins on the in service date of the unit and covers the unit against defects in workmanship and material. Vendor purchased parts used in the construction of your equipment are covered under the vendors warranty and will be submitted to the vendor for consideration. Your Boydstun Metal Works warranty department will represent your interests with regards to a vendor part warranty.

Question: "Does Boydstun Metal Works have service centers located through-out the U.S. and Canada?"

Answer: Boydstun Metal Works has two company owned and operated service centers in the U.S. One is located in Portland, Oregon and the other in Jacksonville, Florida. However, Boydstun Metal Works will honor your warranty at any repair facility in the U.S. and Canada so long as the instructions for submitting warranty claims are followed. The warranty information delivered with the unit outlines both Boydstun’s and your responsibilities. Should you need help in finding a shop, Boydstun Metal Works can provide a list of repair shops near your location to choose from. Question: "I have a part that has failed. I can change the part out myself. How do I get a new part covered under my existing warranty?"

Answer: Boydstun Metal Works will provide reimbursement for failed parts covered under warranty. Submit the failed part along with your purchase receipt to the Boydstun Metal Works Warranty Department within 60 days of the date of part purchase and we will process your warranty claim.

Question: "Can Boydstun Metal Works just send me the part for free?"

Answer: All parts acquisitions are handled through our parts department. Due to inventory regulations, replacement warranty parts must be purchased and then failed parts returned in order to get warranty credit.
